The Star's City

Our children's wing is designed with two primary things in mind; that every activity will teach our children about, and point them to, Christ and to support the rotational sunday school model that we use.

Rotational Sunday SchoolSo what is "Rotational Sunday School"? Rotational Sunday School is where we teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops: an Art workshop, Drama, Music, Games, A/V, Puppets, Storytelling, Computers, and any other solid biblical media we can get our hands on. We teach the same Bible story in all of the workshops for six weeks, rotating the kids to a different workshop each week. The same teacher teaches their lesson in the module weekly as all the ages K-3rd rotate through. At the end of the 6 weeks we have a Celebration where the Youth group comes and lead the kids in teaching, drama and music as a wrap-up to the story they've just learned.

We are blessed with a fantastic, recently designed, facility that is second to none. While we are intentional to be fully about Christ, and not about facilities and appearance, we treasure what we have and do our best to use it to the full Glory of God.

The Star's City is WSBC's wing devoted to children (K-5th grade) learning about the Gospel. The rooms are arranged in such a way allow the flow of Wed. night and Sunday activities.

The Garage is our central meeting place where prayer, worship and offerings are given to the Lord.

After we dismiss from there your child could visit the Grand One Theater to watch a bible story or Noah's Art room to do a science or art having to do with our bible story.

Next is the Restored room which is our computer lab where we write our own software to quiz the children on their bible comprehension of the latest story.

The Tackle Box is our storytelling room where a character emerges as the kids see re-enacted stories from the bible.

The Jonah Room is our game room where we play games and get all our energy out as we learn about Jesus. Studio 5 is our cool 4th-5th grade room where we do a Children Desiring God curriculum to prepare our older children for their entrance into the youth.

Elegant Esther is our dress up room equipped with knights and princesses costumes and much more we allow kids to play and learn about putting on the full armor of God.
